What a crazy travel day. We all got up 4:30 to catch the 6:30 ferry only to get there and find out that it was canceled and changed to 10 because of dangerous waves. Thanks for the heads up, Port Authority of T&T. To pass the time, we hung out at the Trinidad Hyatt, resting on their comfy chairs and drinking caffeinated beverages. We almost missed the boat! I thought getting back to the port by 9 would be more than enough time. Many cars were turned away, but mine made it. Whew!

What an awful boat ride! The waves were rocky, causing many people to become sick. Then, the off-ramp for the cars would not lower, so I was stuck on the ferry for an extra half hour while the girls waited outside in the hot sun. Our arrival to Mt. Irvine made up for all of it. After a quick dip in the pool, we walked to trail through the golf course to Grange Beach where we relaxed for a couple of hours.
